However, should what you need not be found in the handbook, please refer to the website www.baligslam.com, call one of the phone numbers below, or simply ask one of the friendly — and adorable — G-Slam Volunteers! We are here to help you and make your tournament as enjoyable as possible.

We sincerely thank you for your participation in this charity tournament benefiting Bali Peduli in their work to decrease the spread of HIV in Bali. Please do your part by practicing safe sex and encouraging your friends to do the same. Finally, we encourage you to patronize our wonderful sponsors (see back cover). Tournament Rules[top]

Bali G-Slam 2015 Tennis Tournament is a Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) sanctioned tournament. The Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance is the international organization – comprised of gay and lesbian tennis clubs - that manages and sanctions the gay tennis circuit around the world. Our tournament will be played according to the guidelines of GLTA and of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The draws with the names of the players will be published on the GLTA website. Rules and regulations of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) apply. GLTA rules as described below are added to the ITF rules. By participating in the Bali G-Slam Tennis tournament, players agree to follow the tournament rules.

The GLTA rules can be retrieved on the GLTA website.

Entries: Players can enter in 1 or 2 events. The rules and rankings from the GLTA and the National Associations will be used to determine players' divisions.

The Following Divisions will be available in the Bali G-Slam: Open / A / B / C / D

Players have to register in the appropriate division. The highest ranking determines the placement. If a participant still plays in an inappropriate division (too low) he will be defaulted.

Note: Knowingly entering a tournament in the wrong division or using an assumed title to circumvent rankings or allocation to the appropriate division can result in disqualification without refund of fees paid. Players may also be suspended from playing in GLTA tournaments.

For doubles, the strongest partner's division determines the placement.
Levels, Ranking and Seeding: All players have to play in the appropriate GLTA division. You can find your GLTA ranking on the GLTA website:

glta.tournamentsoftware.com/rankings.aspx.

Seeding: For the seeding we will use the GLTA ranking list as of 21 days before our tournament and all other relevant information.

Attire: Proper tennis attire required. Non-marking shoes required. Shirts required.

Check-in: required 15 min before match time. Early check-ins may be asked to play early. Any appeals will be decided by the tournament director.

Being Late: 0-5 min=loss of toss and 1 game; 5-10 min=loss of toss and 2 games; 10-15 min=loss of toss and three games; 15 minutes or more=default

Warm-up: 5 minutes. Strictly enforced.

Rest Breaks: 20 seconds between points (not counting tracking down balls; 90 seconds on changeovers; 2 minutes between sets.

Bathroom: Players are allowed a reasonable amount of time for bathroom breaks.

Between matches: After completing a singles match a player is allowed up to 30 minutes before being required to play again; after a doubles match, 15 minutes.

Scheduling: Consolation matches will be scheduled as courts become available. Please check with the match desk for the consolation schedule.

Substitutions: are only permitted if a first match in a certain event is not played yet. It is always the discretion of the tournament director.

Scoring: Main draw singles and doubles matches will be best of 3 sets, with a standard 7-point (first to seven by two) tiebreak at 6-all in games, but if a third set is necessary it will be replaced by a standard 10-point (first to 10 by two) tiebreak

Consolation matches: (except consolation finals) will consist of an 8-game pro-set (first to 8 games by two) with a standard 7-point tiebreak at 8-all in games.

Line Call Disputes: If disputes occur, you can request a line judge from the tournament desk, though this is not a guarantee. Any line judge assigned to a court will rule only calls that are questioned. The judge’s ruling is final.

Score Disputes: If players cannot agree on the score, resume play at the last point all players recall and agree.

Miscellaneous: The GLTA rule book will apply for all match situations.
